Adin Ross

Felix “xQc” Lengyel may not be close friends with Adin Ross after all.

xQc and Adin Ross are both huge streamers, with xQc continuing to dominate Twitch and Ross starting a new career on Kick. Rumors started swirling that xQc and Adin Ross may be friends after xQc accidentally revealed that he was DMing the controversial influencer on Twitter. At the time, xQc claimed he was just asking Ross how to buy custom jewelry, but the streaming community wasn’t too sure.

With xQc’s background in gambling, it seemed very likely that he was chatting with Ross about moving to Kick. Twitch has banned most gambling activities while Kick has been promoting itself as a place where streamers can continue to gamble without getting in trouble. Maybe xQc was moving to the seemingly free-spirited and rule-free Twitch alternative after all.

But xQc recently blocked Ross on Discord, making fans think they were never as close as they were previously rumored to be.

Why did xQc block Adin Ross?

Adin Ross has been very controversial over the past few months, using his large platform to share Andrew Tate-inspired rhetoric. Even his own brother has condemned him. So when xQc was messaging him on Twitter, fans started trolling the Juicer.

But xQc recently fell victim to a very immature prank, leaving him wary of Adin Ross.

xQc TikTok

During a recent stream, xQc decided to open a link from Ross that he’d received on Discord. But when he opened it, xQc was met with a “screamer,” which is essentially a dangerously loud video that can damage your hearing. Upon opening the video, xQc looked completely shocked and jumped back from his computer.

After getting over the initial jump scare, xQc told his followers that he was blocking Ross. He called the prank “f—ing stupid.”

Many in the streaming community agreed with this sentiment, calling Ross immature and saying that the prank was something that seemed more in line with a 12-year-old boy’s humor rather than a 22-year-old man.

“I used to think the loud s**t was funny back when I was 14 years old. But when you grow up and realize that you only have one set of ears and that tinnitus can literally cause you to go insane, then it stops being so funny,” said one Reddit user.
