Adin Ross

Adin Ross is a name most of the streaming community recognizes even though he’s still a relatively new name on Twitch. In a short span of time, Adin Ross has been connected to an extensive list of controversies and dramatics. But just who is Adin Ross, and how did he become famous to begin with?

How old is Adin Ross?

Adin Ross was born on October 11, 2000, making him 21 years old today. Adin Ross was born in Boca Raton, Florida. He was part of a Jewish family and attended Hebrew school. Adin Ross eventually moved to New York City. He currently lives in California, as do many other streamers on Twitch and elsewhere.

How tall is Adin Ross?

Adin Ross’ height differs depending on the source, but the consensus height for Adin Ross seems to be around 5’8″ tall. It’s difficult to know his exact height since he’s often seen sitting down while he streams.

How did Adin Ross become famous?

Adin Ross is a Twitch streamer and content creator who started out playing such games as Grand Theft Auto and NBA 2K. But while he plays video games, Adin Ross is known more for his personality than skills.

Adin Ross started blowing up online when he began collaborating with celebrities on YouTube and inviting them onto his Twitch streams. This started in 2020 with Bronny, LeBron James’ son, when the two bet a few thousand dollars on a game of NBA 2K. From there, Adin Ross has been seen with popular rappers and prominent influencers.

While collaborating with big names has given Adin Ross a lot of fame, the streamer has remained relevant largely thanks to his ongoing drama.

Adin Ross under fire for homophobic jokes

Many of Adin Ross’ videos with rappers contain jokes about him being “sus.” For example, making sexual inuendos with Lil Yachty and attempting to touch him in a video titled “Adin Ross Acts SUS Around Lil Yachty” with a heart face emoji.

While this kind of joke didn’t sit right with many people at the time, Adin Ross’ fans took it as the streamer just being himself. A lot of fans noted at the time that Adin Ross “gets along with everybody,” which seemed to be another reason many people were becoming his fans during the fast rise to fame.

Adin Ross gets in drama with Ludwig, Sodapoppin

Not everyone got along with Adin Ross, however. In June 2021, Ludwig Ahren, Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris, and Nick “Nmpolol” Polom questioned “where the f—” Ross came from, concluding that the up-and-coming streamer just seemed to have a lot of connections.

In response, Sodapoppin joked that Adin Ross’ fans only knew two letters: W and L. This was a reference to the “W streamer” trend, which is basically a jab at “normie streamers” who tend to have more of a hype personality and a younger audience.

The discussion didn’t sit right with Adin Ross, who claimed that the popular streamers were talking bad about his fanbase. As Adin Ross continued to lash out at the top streamers, Ludwig privately reached out to Ross to put a stop to the drama. But Ross decided to share the conversation on Twitter, claiming Ludwig went after his community. He then called Ludwig a “band geek.”

Adin Ross connected to IShowSpeed, JiDion, other controversial streamers

Adin Ross was under fire soon after when his friend and fellow streamer Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins threatened to assault a fellow contestant on Ross’ dating show.

During the live stream, IShowSpeed started yelling that nobody would stop him if he attempted to have sex with a female contestant if they were the last two people on earth. IShowSpeed continued to yell this louder and louder until Ross finally removed him from the show.

Ross was criticized for how long it took him to remove IShowSpeed, especially seeing how uncomfortable the other contestant was. Ross then allowed IShowSpeed to rejoin the Discord, where he continued to make sexist threatening comments.

IShowSpeed was banned from all Riot Games titles earlier this month for spouting more sexism towards a woman in Valorant. This had people questioning again why Adin Ross was associated with IShowSpeed.

Adin Ross is also friends with Izi Prime, a streamer that was recently banned from Twitch for harassing a woman in-game as well. It’s also been said that Adin Ross is associated with JiDion, the streamer that was permanently banned on Twitch for harassing Imane “Pokimane” Anys.

Adin Ross banned on Twitch over homophobic remarks

These problematic situations were brought forward once again when Adin Ross was banned from Twitch in April 2022. Adin Ross had allegedly used a homophobic slur while believing he was not livestreaming. While his friends have claimed it’s not Adin Ross in the clip, Twitch confidently decided to suspend Ross.

Ross is no stranger to making homophobic jokes and comments. It’s been a viral meme for a while that Adin Ross is homophobic thanks to the time he claimed to donate to the “LG community.”

How many followers does Adin Ross have?

Despite his many controversies, Adin Ross continues to grow in popularity. In fact, this could in part be due to his ongoing drama. He currently has over 5.8 million followers on Twitch. He’s been averaging well over 5.5 million views per month as well.

Is Adin Ross rich?

Adin Ross’s annual streaming income is near to $3 million thanks to Twitch subscribers and ad revenue. Adin Ross also makes a good amount of money from his gambling sponsorship. Adin Ross claims he makes around $4 million a month from his partnership with Stake, and this is based on leaked images of his Discord which contained his wallet link. According to the link, Ross is being paid 335 Ethereum per week by his Stake, or approximately $995K.
