What happened to popular Fortnite streamer Tfue?

According to Wikipedia, Tfue is the second most followed Twitch streamer behind only Richard “Ninja” Blevins. Tfue is most known for his Fortnite streams, but he originally got his start with games such as Call of Duty and Destiny. He got into battle royale games such as H1Z1 and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds before finding his groove in Fortnite.

After a heated and very public lawsuit against popular gaming organization FaZe Clan, the Fortnite streamer has had some soul seaching to do, and it seems like he’s finally settled into a routine after his legal strife has come to a close.

Why is Tfue not in FaZe Clan anymore?

In May of 2019, Tfue filed a lawsuit against FaZe Clan that garnered significant media attention. Tfue claimed that FaZe had pressured him into living in one of its homes in Los Angeles, pressured him to drink while underage, and turned him to illegal gambling, among other things. He also claimed that his pay schedule was unfair, and that he was only receiving 20% of the money from his branded videos published on Twitch, YouTube and other social media platforms. FaZe refuted the claims, but the drama only escalated from there when Tfue went onto YouTube and asked FaZe to make public the terms of his contract.

Eventually, the lawsuit was dismissed by a judge and Tfue received paychecks from the organization all the way up until the lawsuit FaZe Clan filed against Tfue settled in late August 2020.

What is Tfue’s net worth?

Tfue’s net worth is estimated to be between $4-6 milion. This includes revenue brought in through Twitch, YouTube, sponsors, and separate earnings from competitive tournaments. During the lawsuit Tfue brought against FaZe Clan, the organization claimed that Tfue had made over $20 million from streaming, but this was never confirmed. Since responses to lawsuits aim to place the defendant in the best light, this number is best described as a likely overestimate, though there’s no confirming it either way.

Does Tfue still stream?

Tfue still streams frequently on Twitch. He took a break for his mental health in September 2019 after the legal situation with FaZe Clan started to get heated. He cited a negative mindset and frustration with the state of Fortnite at the time. Recently, Tfue has been streaming 5-7 days a week with his streams varying in length.

Does Tfue still play Fortnite?

When Tfue came back to streaming, he played a greater variety of games, and he still does to this day. There is a big change in the number of Fortnite streams that Tfue puts out, and followers are seeing less and less of Fortnite as time goes on. Between his beef with top Fortnite streamer Ninja, patches he felt added unfair tactics to the game, and general burnout from the game, Tfue has moved away from Epic Games’ battle royale for the most part. He still streams Fortnite around new seasons and game updates, but viewers are more likely to catch him playing Call of Duty.
