A new Valorant map has been leaked, revealing a location known as Bastion.
Valorant currently has 15 playable maps, each ranging in layout, style, and strategy. The wide range of maps has allowed for different agents and weapons to shine and forced players to learn the ins and outs of each map’s unique features.
Now, a new map is likely joining the map pool, according to trusted insiders.
New Valorant map is known as Bastion
Hidden within Valorant’s code is apparently a map known as Bastion. It was originally discovered by a coder who shared his findings on
Reddit. This included a thumbnail of a yet-to-be-released map known as Bastion.
It’s currently unclear what type of map Bastion is, but it’s said to be most likely for Team Deathmatch. According to the photo, it looks like it may be the previously teased “underground map” since we can see a hole in the middle of the image. Aside from that, Bastion looks a bit similar to existing maps in its style and structure.
It’s currently unclear what special features will be in Bastion or what the layout will actually be.
When will Bastion be released in Valorant?
Right now, it’s also unknown when Bastion will be added to the map pool. It could be soon if it’s for Team Deathmatch, however, since there hasn’t been a new map for this game mode since December of last year.
A
new agent known as Clove
is coming later this month, reportedly bringing an interesting self-healing ability to the roster. We assume that Bastion won’t be released alongside this big update so maybe expect it within the next few months.
Team Deathmatch is a 5v5 game mode in Valorant in which the first team to 100 eliminations wins. The maps are a bit smaller, allowing agents to use their abilities and some set loadouts for each stage.
