Marvel Rivals release date — what we know so far
Marvel Rivals has iconic heroes and villains teaming up to duke it out for domination of points across familiar maps based on comic book locations. After getting a closer look at the hero shooter’s gameplay, game modes, and characters, players are wondering when they can finally play the game for themselves. Here’s what we know about the release date.
With teams of six combining abilities to take down enemy teams for control of the point, many FPS fans are comparing Marvel Rivals to Overwatch 2. Despite the similarities, including very familiar map layouts, gamers still have high hopes for Marvel Rivals. The concept of Doctor Strange, Black Panther, and Star Lord teaming up in Tokyo 2099 is just far too hype.
But when is the game finally coming out?
Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha date
The Marvel Rivals Closed Alpha test is coming in just a few days. The Closed Alpha is coming on May 10, 2024.
There will be extra invites available so check with participating friends if you want a chance at playing the game modes or even checking out the tournament. But the Closed Alpha is just that — a Closed Alpha. When is the full game coming?
When is Marvel Rivals coming out?
There is no official release date for Marvel Rivals. Right now, it’s expected to come out on in the first quarter of 2025.
Until then, players should expect more open betas and tests as the game gets closer to its release date. For now, however, there is no official announcement for upcoming playtests or full launches.
You’ll also need to have a PC to play Marvel Rivals. The game is currently not planned to launch on Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch. This could change in the future, however.
