Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 team-based PVP shooter that brings some of the world’s iconic superheroes to the battlefield. Here is the confirmed Marvel Rivals character list so far.

Thousands of characters contribute to the Marvel Universe, making it larger than life. Some heroes are famous, while others are less recognized. The game will likely include a mix of underrated and popular superheroes that the developer will eventually add to the Marvel Rivals roster. But the trailer is packed with the who’s who of the Marvel Universe.

Marvel Rivals confirmed character list

The two-minute-long trailer includes 15 superheroes who have previously graced comic books or movies. Here is the Marvel Rivals roster confirmed by NetEase in the trailer:

The Punisher

The Punisher is less of a superhero and more of a vigilante, but he may become the go-to character for players who have previously dabbled in shooter games with weapons.

Magneto

Magneto’s appearance is scarce, but from what we know, he’ll likely bring his shielding powers to the game. Given the lack of defensive agents, Magneto will likely become a fan favorite.

Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch makes a lightning-fast cameo at the end of the trailer, so it’s tough to anticipate her gameplay mechanics. However, she was spotted with her hex bolts, so players should expect plenty of energy blasts.

Luna Snow

Luna appears to have maneuverability power through the ice skates that help her reach targets quicker. Her voice line suggests she’s more of a team-focused character who shines when combined with other high-damage-inflicting heroes.

Peni Parker

Peni Parker’s abilities are also under wraps, but she’ll likely be another agility hero who can use her body suit to inflict damage.

Mantis

Mantis was spotted alongside Star Lord, and both were out of the playing field. But, as depicted in the comics, Mantis would be a less aggressive and more tactical character who can play mind games on the enemy.

Star Lord

Star-Lord also makes a brief appearance with his clan, holding trademark Element guns that he uses for element manipulation and flying. These multipurpose guns will be handy tools in the Marvel Rivals.

Rocket Racoon

With his laser gun and humor, Rocket Rocket will be a welcome presence in the cutthroat arena of Marvel Rivals. Similar to the movies, he can team up with Groot to take down enemies.

Groot

Groot, it appears, also has the same voice lines as the movie: I am Groot. But, at least, he can contribute heavily on the battlefield. His size helps him crush large enemies and storm over them.

Magik

Magik has already won hearts with her massive Soulsword. The Mutant Sorcerer is tenfold scary when transforming into her devil-form Dark Chylde.

Doctor Strange

In his fancy Eye of Agamotto, Doctor Strange is just as viable in Marvel Rivals as in the comics. The hero can manipulate time and open portals when things get dicey in a battle. It’s unknown whether his cape also has a mind of its own, like the comics.

Namor

Namor is equipped with his vibranium spear that he can use to inflict damage against enemies. This damage likely gets a boost when combined with Luna Snow’s powers.

Storm

Storm’s quick appearance doesn’t give much away about her toolkit, but if we go by the comics, she’ll likely be a heavily favored character. Storm can toy with weather, manipulate it, and create tornadoes.

Loki

The popular anti-hero also makes an appearance carrying a spear-like weapon that shoots out laser beams. He can also teleport across small distances using his abilities.

Black Panther

Blog post image

Marvel’s hit shape-shifter Black Panter is teased as an agile hero who can move across the map with panther-like speed and engage in close-range duels. He can transform into a panther-like in the comics and movies, but his abilities in animal form are ambiguous.

Hulk

Blog post image

Like Black Panther, Hulk stays true to the comic, bringing his transformative abilities to the Marvel Rivals. The hero spawns in office wear but can turn into a giant at will. He appears unfazed by multiple Loki’s laser beams while crushing an enemy with a single blow.

Spider-Man

As expected, Spider-Man brings his cobwebs to the battlefield. They are powerful enough to tie down larger enemies, and their agility also helps them tackle multiple enemies at once.

Iron Man

In the trailer, Iron Man is mostly spotted hovering up in the air, allowing him to attack players from a vantage point. His abilities are also cut out for range, as he can use his body suit to send out damage-inflicting laser beams.

This wraps up the Marvel Rivals confirmed character list so far.
