Hanzo removed from OW2 after getting Mythic skin
Right after it was announced that Hanzo was getting a Mythic skin in Season 7, the serious sharpshooter was removed from multiple Overwatch 2 game modes.
Hanzo has been all but disabled in Overwatch 2 after developers found a bug with his Storm Bow ability.
Where is Hanzo in Overwatch 2?
When you open Overwatch 2, you will see he’s missing from the heroes menu and is no longer in any game mode’s roster.
Hanzo was removed from Overwatch 2 when developers realized there was a bug with his ability, Storm Bow. The bug was caused by the toggle primary fire setting, allowing Hanzo to rapidly fire fully-charged arrows instead of making players draw back the arrow to do more damage. The bug has also made it harder to determine the range of his arrows.

Blizzard has not stated when Hanzo will return to Overwatch 2. It’s very similar to what happened to Mei a long while ago.
What is Hanzo’s Mythic skin?
In Season 7, Hanzo was given the Onryō Mythic skin, inspired by Diablo 4. The customizable glowing skin is Tier 80 of the battle pass for Season 7. The current battle pass costs 1,000 Overwatch Coins.
We will have to wait and see what Blizzard does about Hanzo being removed during the time when he gets a Mythic skin.
