YouTube streamer Ludwig Ahgren took home Content Creator of the Year last night at the Game Awards 2022.
The Game Awards 2022 is largely about successful games and upcoming titles, but it’s a night that also celebrates the gaming community. This includes recognizing the content creators that shape the streaming space and influence the game market. The nominees included:
Ludwig had an incredible year, which makes it all the more understandable that he was recognized on the prestigious video game show. He currently has over 3.78 million subscribers on YouTube, where he streams himself playing games and releases vlog-style videos.
But on top of streaming, Ludwig had a very impactful year. The award was given to a streamer who “made an important and positive impact on the community,” which is exactly what Ludwig did. Ludwig held a charity stream during DreamHack Atlanta, hosted the largest Smash tournament in history, and recently wrapped up the Mogul Chessboxing Championship.

The winner for Content Creator of the Year was picked based on popular vote, a panel of judges, and a jury of over 100 media outlets. The jury accounts for 90% of the decision, and fans influence 10% of the vote, meaning Ludwig has been celebrated by both the streaming community and experts in the industry.
Ludwig was named Streamer of the Year at The Streamer Awards earlier this year. He also won Best Variety Streamer at the 12th Streamy Awards.
