If there’s one thing you can count on, it’s data miners leaking upcoming Fortnite events and changes.
This time, data miner HYPEX has uncovered that popular points of interest including Greasy Grove and Tomato Town, will be resturning in Season X.
On Twitter, the leaker revealed game files that show upcoming Battle Pass challenge descriptions. Within the challenges, Anarchy Acres, Flush Factory, Greasy Grove, Moisty Mire, Risky Reels, and Tomato Town are mentioned. With Season X’s time travel theme, these old favorites making a return to the map wouldn’t be a big stretch.
According to the game files, one challenge requires players to spray a car or truck in the aforementioned locations. While HYPEX noted that the challenge asks players to spray vehicles in other points on the map as well, those six were the ones specifically mentioned in the file he uncovered.
Now fans have to speculate whether Epic will add this Battle Pass challenge once the six points return, or if the challenge will come before and remain once the POIs are revealed. This could be done all at once or one at a time.
After Season X saw Neo Tilted become Tilted Town, it seems as though Epic is not afraid to make major map changes each week. If these areas are to come back, it appears likely that they would affect existing points on the map, which most likely isn’t a concern for more casual players.
While it’s currently just a prediction, most data miners have been correct in their predictions thus far. Earlier this summer, data miners uncovered Stranger Things related cosmetics and challenges. And data miners were the first to predict the return of the Avengers earlier in the year. One leak that many fans are crossing their fingers for is the possibility of new servers coming to the Middle East.
