Rockstar has gone quiet after revealing the GTA 6 release window for Fall 2025, but when is more GTA 6 news coming?

Grand Theft Auto 6 is poised to trigger seismic shifts in the gaming industry, with far-reaching financial and cultural impact. Rockstar is confident that the game will do great business, a prediction that is reflected in GTA 6 trailer garnering 93 million views in 24 hours. This feat hasn’t yet been achieved by any non-musical content on YouTube. It currently sits at 200 million views.

But, since GTA 6 trailer in December 2023, Rockstar has only dropped a single update in May 2024, confirming a release window. Fans are now eager to find out more GTA 6 news, and we may have a scoop.

When is the next GTA 6 news coming?

Fans should expect significant GTA 6 news in August 2024.

All GTA 6 news and announcements so far were either followed by Take-Two’s earnings calls or made the same day. In the November 2023 earnings call, the company confirmed the first trailer for December, whereas in the last earnings call in May 2024, the release window was revealed. 

The next call is scheduled for August 9, a date that falls under the trend schedule we mentioned earlier. Since data miners claim GTA 6 trailer 2 is coming this year in December, it’s safe to assume Rockstar may roll out in-game screenshots or maybe a new poster in August.

Rockstar’s marketing strategy for Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 followed a similar pattern, where the first trailer was followed by a six-month hiatus, after which a screenshot and poster were released, preceding the second trailer.

So, there is a high chance that the developer may share screenshots of the popular locations to build up hype for the second trailer. However, this is all just speculation and shouldn’t be taken as gospel. In any case, August 9 isn’t far and more details should come out soon.
