Kick is having a massive weekend. After announcing a non-exclusive deal with big streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel, Kick has acquired Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, hot tub and ASMR extraordinaire.
Amouranth is making a lot of big changes in her life. She was the largest streamer on Twitch in 2022 thanks to her boundary-pushing sensual content but was dealing with a lot of drama behind the scenes. She ultimately ended up divorcing her allegedly abusive husband and doing more gaming content as well as pursuing other avenues. Now, it’s looking like she’s leaving Twitch altogether.
During her seventh anniversary stream on Twitch, Amouranth announced that she was actually leaving the streaming platform for Kick.
In a tweet that followed the surprise announcement, Amouranth calls her agent and states: “So, $100 million deals have started. Can I get one of those?”
After hanging up, Amouranth starts packing her hot tub and other iconic streaming supplies.
While it’s unclear what the actual contract details are, the video makes it seem like Amouranth is leaving Twitch entirely, especially because she was packing her things. But it’s possible she has a similar deal to xQc, which means she can stream on Twitch and Kick if she so chooses.
It makes sense that Amouranth would choose to stream on Kick, which has a lot more lax regulations around sexual and adult content — at least for now. The rival platform also boasts a 95/5 sub revenue split, meaning she would get much more from her subscriptions than Twitch, which finally agreed to a 70/30 split.
Twitch has been losing a lot of big names as of late thanks to a lot of unpopular decisions. This includes a recent announcement regarding branded streams that would see content creators losing a lot of sponsorship opportunities and income. This led to many calls for a boycott, and it looks like a lot of streamers are jumping ship ahead of time.
