ALGS Year 4 has been announced, bringing with it a $5 million prize pool. From new regions to new competitions, here’s what to expect when ALGS Year 4 begins.
ALGS Year 4 will have three LAN events, two Playoffs, and the ALGS Championship. But before that, there will be Pre Season Qualifiers and some new requirements to be eligible for the Pro League.
Here’s everything that was announced for Year 4.
ALGS Year 4 closely follows the same format as ALGS Year 3, with $5 million split between all of the major events.
Here is the schedule we know so far:
More dates will be announced as the season grows near. For now, however, we don’t know when the first Playoff will be, but it will most likely be sometime in April of 2024.
The slots for each region for the LAN events have changed for Year 4 based on South America, and China has been invited.
Here’s how it looks now:
However, before the LAN events happen, you’ll need to qualify for a spot. While there are top teams in the Pro League, anyone can potentially qualify if they go through pre-season qualifiers, get into the Pro League, and then do well enough for the LAN event.
In ALGS Year 4, you simply need to be level 50 or above to enter the pre-season qualifier events. This is pretty interesting because level 50 is right when people unlock ranked, meaning players of all levels and experience will be able to compete this year.
Registration for the ALGS Pre-Season qualifiers is opening on October 23, 2023. You can find out more here.
