Young Sheldon season 6 ended on a massive, heartbreaking cliffhanger, and fans can’t wait to discover what happens in season 7. 

Season 6 premiered on February 1 on Netflix with 22 episodes. The Young Sheldon storyline is getting slightly more dramatic after entertaining The Big Theory fans and finding a new audience. While Sheldon’s eccentric humor is still at the heart of the show, the Cooper crew is experiencing some ups and downs. 

What happened in Young Sheldon season 6?

In season 6, CBS zoomed out of Sheldon’s life and focused a bit more on the rest of the family members. The season ended with Meemaw losing her and everything else along with it after a brutal tornado and George getting engaged. Sheldon and his mom board a flight to Germany. 

Season 6 gradually steered the storyline toward the base backstory of The Big Bang Theory, which also means George Sr.’s death is on the horizon. Would the show go through with it? We’ll only find out in the season finale. 

Young Sheldon Season 7 release date

Young Sheldon season 7 will be released on February 15, but Netflix’s premiere date is currently unknown. Eager fans can watch Young Sheldon on their TV from February 15 to May 16. The show will likely arrive on Netflix once all episodes have been aired.

Season 7 marks the conclusion of Young Sheldon, and fans are eagerly anticipating how the show will wrap up. Chances are that this season would veer away from its usual comedic plot if it is really meant to set a base for the events in The Big Bang Theory.

Given that Sheldon’s father, George Sr., is said to have passed away when Sheldon was 14 in The Big Bang Theory, there’s a possibility that Season 7 could explore this significant event. As of Season 6, Sheldon is only 13 years old, leaving room for potential narrative developments in the upcoming season.

The ending of Season 7 could either be heart-wrenching, or it might take a more uplifting turn. Fans will have to wait and see how the series concludes.
