Adin Ross is claiming that Twitch attempted to silence him.

Adin Ross has become one of the biggest streamers on Twitch thanks to his controversial content. He is known for hanging out with banned streamers like IShowSpeed, who threatened to sexually assault a streamer on Ross’ dating show, and JiDion, who was permabanned for harassing Imane “Pokimane” Anys. Ross also notoriously attempted to get Kanye West on his show after the rapper was shunned for his antisemitic rants.

Now, Adin Ross’ latest controversy involves claiming that Twitch has attempted to ban him for his controversial content.

Did Twitch try to permanently ban Adin Ross?

Ross recently claimed that Twitch threatened to suspend him indefinitely due to his content. In a viral clip, the streamer said that he was on a phone call with a higher-up employee at Twitch that demanded he make big changes to his content or risk an indefinite ban.

Ross said that he had been not streaming for the past few weeks and had been focusing on improving himself. He told fans that he spent that time working out and avoiding masturbation. But the real reason he was not on Twitch was that he was being “silenced.”

“I had a week suspension on Twitch. When I got unsuspended on Twitch, I streamed maybe two or three times after that. Once I was streaming and doing what I normally do… I say some real s— sometimes. I basically got a call. I’m not gonna say specifically who it was, you know who you are,” Ross claimed. “And you basically said, ‘Hey man, if you keep doing controversial stuff and saying certain things and promoting certain things on your stream, we’re gonna have to take you down indefinitely.'”

Adin Ross said he “laughed” in response, feeling shocked that the platform would try to threaten him. He told fans that he felt he can no longer “preach” his new perspective safely. Still, Ross said that he didn’t care about Twitch’s response and would continue to try and make the content he wants without getting in trouble.

While Adin Ross never mentioned the specific content that led him to getting an alleged threat from Twitch, his new content has largely revolved around his support for Andrew Tate.

Andrew Tate is a controversial misogynist influencer who is currently being investigated for human trafficking, rape, and abuse. Ross infamously defended Tate, claiming he is innocent. Not only that, but Ross has started to preach similar things to his young audience, leading Felix “xQc” Lengyel to accuse him of copying the largely condemned red pill podcaster.

“I think he’s [Ross] trying really hard to emulate the things that are happening to Tate, and what Tate is doing. I think it’s a really unhealthy rabbit hole to go down. I don’t think he truly wants it, but I don’t think he gets it,” xQc said after Ross claimed he was being silenced.

Adin Ross and Andrew Tate currently follow each other on social media. Ross even shared a picture of himself with a shaved head on Twitter, clearly trying to emulate Tate’s signature look.
