Valorant’s biggest esports circuit is finally wrapping up in Berlin at the
prestigious stage of VCT Champions. The arena has already seen many upsets, but KRU Esports’ win over Sentinels is foremost among them. The Argentine team did the impossible by kicking the unbeatable Sentinels out of the most important event in the history of Valorant esports.
The Argentinian team was the one to kick Sentinels out of VCT Champions 2021. The team entered the competitive Valorant scene in January 2021 and became a force to be reckoned with when they qualified for Masters Reykjavík, Iceland. Since then, KRU Esports has built a presence on the international scene.
KRU was a massive underdog for its match against Sentinels. The North American giants have dominated the Valorant scene since acquiring Tyson “TenZ” Ngo from Cloud9, but this loss has shocked everyone. The team beat the Shahzeeb “ShahZaM” Khan-led the squad in a stunning 2-1 fashion, becoming the first team outside of Europe to make it to VCT Champions Quarterfinals.
