Valorant closed beta

Riot Games is being weirdly tight-lipped about Valorant Mobile, but soothsayers aren’t holding back. A beta test may be happening sooner than expected, leakers suggest.

After making strides in the PC ecosystem, Riot Games is gearing up to reshape mobile gaming with its character-based tactical shooter. Valorant is the next esport to follow in the footsteps of Apex Legends, PUBG, and more. However, fans must keep their eyes locked on the leaks since Riot is awfully quiet. The developer has deviated from its tradition of dropping constant hints and teasers, leaving the task to the leakers.

Rumors about Valorant Mobile are plenty, but when exactly is the game releasing? Here’s the latest update on the highly anticipated mobile shooter, Valorant.

When is Valorant closed beta happening?

A Valorant Mobile beta may be happening as soon as July, according to leaks. Players may finally get a chance to dash away on their handheld devices.

Playtesting for Valorant Mobile had already begun sometime in April 2022. A few in-game clips also slipped through the cracks, putting players on their toes. However, the game was still in the early stages of development. Now that some time has passed, leakers hint that it may become available to select players in July. However, it’s unknown how exclusive Valorant closed beta would be.

According to the leaker, it’d only be available in a few countries. Riot has previously tested exclusive Valorant PC content in North America and Turkey before publishing it worldwide. But it’s still too soon to say that mobile content will be issued the same way. Luckily, players won’t have to wait much longer to find out. The Valorant closed beta is likely just around the corner.

Valorant Mobile system requirements

Those who have tested Valorant mobile have revealed that it takes up 1.8 GB of space on mobile devices. To run the game smoothly, players may want to invest in an iPhone X or any device with at least 8GB of ram.

It’s worth noting that a closed beta game will acquire less space. Riot may add DLC in later episodes, which may contribute to the overall size of the game.

When is Valorant Mobile coming out?

Valorant Mobile is likely coming out in the second half of 2022 or 2023. The exact date isn’t known, but Riot Games’ Anna Donlon shared that it’s currently under development. The executive producer said the mobile version should be ready in the second full year of Valorant, 2022.
