We are getting closer to knowing the release date for Counter-Strike 2.
A lack of updates since the beta has left the Counter-Strike community a bit frustrated. When is CS2 actually coming out? Valve promised a lot of exciting updates, and now players are wondering when they will be able to get their hands on the upgraded version of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Now, investigative journalist Richard Lewis has hinted at a possible release date.
Lewis has become a trusted source of Counter-Strike news after he correctly reported a lot of details regarding the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 before it was even officially announced. Now, Lewis has decided to predict the release date of the shooter.
“Obviously, the start of CS2… When that’s released, I think tentatively August, September time,” Lewis said while discussing the esports side of Counter-Strike on a stream.
This may not be as early as fans hoped. The game was originally rumored to be coming in June, which clearly isn’t the case. Then it was said that CS2 would come out in the summer, but now Lewis is claiming it could even be in September, which is later than expected.
A lot of players are fine with the later release date, however. There’s still a lot to be desired after experiencing the beta, and competitive players want the game ironed out a bit before it launches.
