Valorant flashes have taken a shine to Viper’s kit, forgiving anyone who lurks around her poison.
Riot Games has rolled out numerous agents equipped with blinding flashes. They’re supremely annoying thanks to how impactful they are at getting site control. Skye, Breach, and Kay/O are a few examples of ace flashers who singlehandedly carry teams to win by painting screens white. Their abilities usually spare no one, but a new bug may be giving teams with Viper a slight advantage.
Valorant payers have discovered a unique Viper ultimate and flash interaction that prevents anyone within her poison radius from being blinded.
Viper’s ultimate explodes into a poison pool that creates a no-entry zone against enemies. It turns out that this Pit can also help avoid flashes.
If you pop a flash inside the radius of the Viper Ult without it being covered by poison the flash is countered. I tested it with Skye‘s bird. You can see it pop and look directly at it but won’t be flashed AS LONG as you are not standing inside the Viper Ult radius. I think this needs to be fixed

In a newly discovered bug, enemies fail to blindsight anyone around Viper’s ultimate as long as they’re out of the poison. Viper’s Pit has a proper AOE of nine meters, which instantly activates while the toxin slowly blooms within the fixed area.
Now, those who stand within the AOE have become immune to all sorts of flashbangs. For example, if you’re within the range of Viper’s Pit as it blooms, you won’t be blind-sighted if the enemy’s Kay/O tosses a flash while you’re still outside the poison itself.
It’s a very situational bug and would rarely benefit the players, but it’s still significant when it happens. In high-stake games, rare bugs like these can be game-changing. Players have reported multiple instances where a missed flash cost them an entire round. It’s incredibly tricky to replicate it on purpose, but it can still be exploited by those willing to go the extra mile.
Riot may deliver a fix for this bug, but it won’t be anytime soon. Considering there are still bigger bugs in-game that require fixing. However, players should keep their fingers crossed and stay cautious even after tossing a flash that typically warrants easy kills.
Since patch 2.09, Viper is undoubtedly leading the charge in the controller category. The poisonous agent deals damage while blocking off large areas with her deadly smokes and a lengthy screen. Omen post-buff is also a viable pick on large maps.
