The upcoming Valorant agent codenamed Mage is on the verge of joining the protocol, but what is the release date of agent 21?

Fade’s addition to the Valorant roster was packed with action. The Turkish initiator was detained and taken to a VP base, convinced to join after terrorizing the crew. Similarly, all Valorant agents have different reasons to join the battle. It’s unknown what the motivation is for Valorant agent 21, but it’s likely coming soon.

Valorant agent 21, codenamed Mage, who is rumored to be an Indian magician Varun Batra, will soon join the controller roster. Here’s what we know about Valorant agent 21 release date.

When is Valorant agent 21 release date?

The most likely release date for Valorant agent 21 is October 24, but that’s not certain.

Players had expected Valorant Episode 5 Act 2 to bring a new face to the lineup, but that didn’t happen. A major content release, either a map or agent, will come in Valorant Episode 5 Act 3. Act 2 wraps on October 23, which means Mage is still two months away. It’s possible their release could get bumped back deeper into the act.

ValorLeaks says the upcoming act will have no new maps or characters. The developer recently heavily tweaked the meta by delivering much-needed Neon and Chamber changes, so it makes sense that this would be a lighter patch.

Valorant Episode 5 Act 2 begins on August 23, bringing a battle pass and the Champions 2022 bundle. Riot has avoided adding any heavy updates due to the final stages of VCT 2022. The next act wil be all about cosmetics to let the meta breathe. This means the following act will be significant, bringing changes in the gameplay.

Who is Varun Batra in Valorant?

The next Valorant agent could be Indian, as players have long requested Riot Games to add one. It won’t be a surprise if Varun ends up being agent 21, considering the diverse nationalities in the game.

Leaker and data miner floxay shared an email from the Valorant PBE that mentions a mystery character named Varun Batra, a name that suggests Indian or Nepali origin. Fans from across the world can now anticipate hearing Indian voice lines in Valorant.
