Twitch streamer Lannia “Ohlana” has taken her own life at 26 years old.Â
The popular streaming personality was known for her positive attitude and often had a smile on her face during her live broadcasts. Her streams typically consisted of her playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or showing off her latest traveling adventures. Her contagious positivity won her over 100,000 Twitch followers during her time streaming.
But on July 5, her fans noticed some concerning tweets. Ohlana wrote to her friends and followers that life just kept getting harder.
A day later, Ohlana expanded on her feelings. She admitted that she had a hard time reaching out to her loved ones for help because she didn’t want to be “confined against [her] will.” This led to her feeling alone with her increasingly dark thoughts.Â
depressed ppl struggle to reach out in fear the ones closest to them will have cops show up and forcefully confine them against their will. so they’re stuck feeling alone with their dark thoughts because they don’t want to be trapped where they just feel worse.

Soon after she tweeted that it’s not “anybody’s fault.”Â
On Instagram, Ohlana went into even more detail about her thoughts and feelings. The Vietnamese-Canadian streamer said she has “cried, loved, and shared so many great memories.” She thanked her friends and followers for the support and marveled at her opportunities, including playing video games full-time and traveling the world at her leisure.Â
“I’ve made my mistakes, I’ve taken my losses and I endured all of the consequences that were deemed valid. But sometimes it clouds my skies a little larger than it should. Some storms are heavier than others… and that’s okay. We all fight our own battles,” Ohlana said.Â
At the end of the emotional note, Ohlana thanked everyone for “everything,” and told readers to take care of themselves.Â
“Sometimes all it takes is the courage to know you’re not alone. It’s a beautiful day today. Go out and enjoy it for me,” she concluded.Â
That was her last activity on social media.Â
When Ohlana’s death was confirmed, her friends and fans sent an outpouring of messages in her memory. They talked about their experiences watching her streams, playing games with her, and spending time with her. Upon finding out about her passing, others began to fill her Twitter responses with similar messages.Â
I’m really glad I got to meet you. The time we spent together was short but sweet, just like you LOL. Omg you were so funny. I always wished we had more time together. I’ll miss you my friend. Rest easy????

The sad news comes shortly after the passing of Byron “Reckful” Berstein, a fellow streamer who also committed suicide. The 31-year-old was confirmed to have passed away after a series of strange tweets in which he eventually said that an “insane person does not feel in control of their actions.”Â
