Right now, streaming fans are waiting on bated breath to see if Dr Disrespect can come back from his most recent scandal. Ever since the streamer returned to YouTube, heâs been teasing a new era of recovering his tarnished reputation. But it seems that this might be harder than he anticipated.Â
Just recently, his former gaming company Midnight Society responded to his claim that he would be coming back to his position.
Midnight Society has debunked claims of Dr Disrespectâs return, calling them âbaselessâ. In a statement, the studio said, âWe amicably parted ways with Dr Disrespect, and will always be appreciative of his contributions to the studio. Our focus is shipping Deadrop in 2025.âÂ
Youâll recall that the married streamer was kicked out of the gaming studio he helped to create after it came out that he inappropriately texted a minor. This revelation, which came from a former Twitch employee, saw Dr Disrespect lose sponsorships and even get demonetized on YouTube.Â
After being away for several weeks, he began streaming again in September and has been trying to get back on track since then. In a recent interview, he said that it was only a matter of time until he would be back at Midnight Society. This was around the same time that he re-applied for monetization on YouTube.
But while we now know that a return to the gaming studio will not be happening anytime soon, the issue of monetization is still up in the air. YouTubeâs policy says that it could be up to 2 months before a decision is made but it is a big deal, regardless.Â
Many are still turned off by his behaviour and do not want him back in the spotlight but only time will tell if any of these efforts pan out.
