This item now turns Visage into the best hero in all of Dota 2
Statistically speaking you’ve probably never played the best hero in Dota 2 version 7.31d, because the powerful-yet-unpopular Visage is the best in the game right now.
According to Dota 2 stat trackers, Visage has the highest win rate in Dota 2 this week at 55.32%. He is the only hero above 55%, making him inarguably overpowered. There’s no doubt that Visage is strong in 7.31d, but what’s pushing up his win rate? The answer is Visage’s new Aghanim’s Scepter power-up and all its buffs.
Visage wasn’t buffed very much in 7.31, though the changes are definitely noticeable. The hero’s talents were changed to smaller buffs that affect both the hero and his familiars. The spike in win rate is due to players discovering new ways to use Silent as the Grave, Visage’s unique Aghanim’s Scepter upgrade.
Under normal circumstances, Visage is one of the least popular heroes in Dota 2.
According to Dotabuff, Visage is the 117th most popular hero and appears in only 1.59% of games. That number has considerably increased due to his newfound strength. Visage currently appears in 2.84% of games, but that number should grow even higher. The complex hero is one of the best characters to learn in Dota 2 7.31d.
Aghanim’s Scepter makes Visage the best hero in Dota 2 7.31d
Visage’s Aghanim’s Scepter is Silent as the Grave, a brand new ability that functions as an upgraded Shadow Blade. The mobility and burst damage helps make Visage the best hero in 7.31d.
Silent as the Grave grants invisibility, +20% movement speed, and flying movement for 35 seconds. After leaving invisibility, both Visage and his Familiars gain 30% bonus damage for four seconds. With just a Wraith Pact and talents, three familiars can deal 1,200 physical damage per second.
The duration and low cooldown are a big part of what makes Silent as the Grave so good. There is only 10 seconds of downtime, so after the four-second bonus damage Visage only has to wait six seconds to reactivate it. Since the buff affects the Familiar and not the target, it also tears down structures.
Visage’s ability to hit towers compounds with the benefits of Aghanim’s Scepter. Familiars’ consistent damage makes him especially good at taking tier twos after a defensive glyph. He also doesn’t mind building Wraith Pact, which
continues to dominate
in 7.31d. Those two traits make him valuable, but Silent as the Grave pushes Visage into the statistical top tier of heroes.
