Lost Ark has been changing the gaming and streaming landscape since it launched in mid-February. The fantasy MMORPG has been a huge hit in South Korea since December 2021, making its international release even more anticipated in Noth America and elsewhere.
Since it was launched abroad on February 11, 2022, Lost Ark has become a huge hit in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. In fact, it has become the most-viewed game on Twitch as of February despite getting to the party 11 days late.
According to SullyGnome, Lost Ark was watched for over 146 million hours on Twitch in February alone. It was streamed for 2.3 million hours, with an average of 220,000 viewers across those streams.
The amount of hours watched is quite impressive, but it’s even more astounding when the numbers of other popular video games are revealed.
In February, League of Legends was watched for 134 million hours, making it the second-most viewed game on Twitch. That’s 10 million fewer hours than Lost Ark. Grand Theft Auto was in third at 129 million hours viewed, about 15 million fewer hours than Lost Ark.
Lost Ark is somewhat of a phenomenon, reaching numbers that most popular games don’t reach at launch. But there were many other top-performing games in February that had interesting stats as well. Here are the top Twitch games by viewership in February:
Some interesting stand-outs include Apex Legends beating out the other popular battle royales in the genre, and Elden Ring for reaching the top 10 most-viewed despite being brand new after releasing at the very end of the month. Elden Ring was released February 25, meaning it only had four days or so to get those hours of viewership. At that pace, Elden Ring may soon be the most-viewed game on Twitch in 2022.
