If you’re looking for new places to land in the new Fortnite season, here are the best places to drop in Fortnite Chapter 4.

The new Fortnite chapter has brought with it an entirely new map with new locations. This means that players have had to find new favorite spots to start the game. From secluded secret treasures that most enemies avoid to the best named locations to scrap it out from the start, here are some of the best places to drop in Fortnite Chapter 4.

Best places to drop in Fortnite Chapter 4

Lonely Labs

In the far northeast of the map, Lonely Labs is a tight grouping of several Arctic-appropriate buildings and a central capture area. On the edge of the map, it boasts the advantage of not needing to worry about enemy groups arriving from the east. At the same time, the multiple buildings have tons of chests that can be looted. It’s not the quietest spot on the map, but it’s a solid pick for a consistent starting spot.

Breakwater Bay

Breakwater Bay is the northwesternmost named location on the new Chapter 4 map. The settlement itself is surprisingly small despite its enormous castle ramparts, but two small settlements nearby make great staging grounds. If the bay itself is too busy, dropping into the village across the bridge or the small keep just northeast of Breakwater both offer you the chance to loot up and get ready to fight whoever landed at the location proper.

The Citadel (sometimes)

The Citadel can be one of the riskiest places to land in Fortnite Chapter 4, but it can be one of the most rewarding. The Citadel is home to the Ageless Champion, the NPC boss with a mythic Excalibur Rifle and Shockwave Hammer. It also houses several spawn points for Oathbound chests, as well as a capture point, which make it tempting for other groups as well.

If the Citadel isn’t near the Battle Bus’ route, it’s often a much safer place to land, loot up, and seek out the boss. Be careful, as it can also turn into a serious hot drop zone that’s as likely to turn into a quick queue back up rather than a bloody victory.

Frenzy Fields

Frenzy Fields is another named location with scattered buildings, plenty of loot, and a centralized capture point. Frenzy Fields, due to its groupings of small farmhouses and barns, often ends up being the starting point for multiple teams. The advantage to this location is that you can keep your distance and land in one of the satellite building groups and then decide to either contest the other players or abandon ship and head in towards the next circle.

These locations are useful because you can always choose to divert to nearby locations during drops that look like there are too many enemies to be comfortable fights. While there are secret spots that can always delight, these four have been consistently some of the best places to drop in Fortnite.
