Streamer Imane “Pokimane” Inys has some exciting Among Us news for fans.Â
In a recent Twitch stream with Trainwreckstv, Pokimane revealed that she donated money to Hafu and 5up, allowing the streamers to create a custom map for the popular social deduction game. Pokimane exclaimed that the custom map is dropping before the next official Among Us map, but it will be “cooler” and even “look better.”Â
“It’s going to be awesome,” Pokimane said.Â
Pokimane didn’t share any details about the custom map quite yet. Hafu is a World of Warcraft pro and streamer. She has become an even more popular content creator thanks to the Among Us hype. 5up is a YouTube streamer who has yet to further reveal his identity. Both content creators are collaborating to create the new Among Us map.Â
Pokimane is no stranger to Among Us herself. She participated in a big Among Us stream with US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It was her way to encourage her viewers to vote. Pokimane also donated money to Twitch streamers in September 2020 to create some positivity as a long list of streamers and gaming community members had been accused of harassment and predatory behavior at the time.h
Among Us announced the new Airship map in December of last year. InnerSloth, the game’s developer, hasn’t revealed a release date for the map quite yet. But it sounds like fans will be getting the map created by Hafu and 5up first, which should keep them busy until the more official version drops for the game sometime later.Â
No, Pokimane did not really receive an $80 million donation. The $80 million donation to Pokimane was a fake clip that had been edited, and it has now become quite the big meme on the internet. Pokimane did announce that her donation cap is now set to $5 however, so nothing that big will ever be possible.Â
