After the unfortunate news of his iconic dog Maya passing, YouTuber Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg has raised fans’ spirits with the reveal of a new puppy.

PewDiePie and his community recently mourned the loss of his elderly dog Maya, who passed away after suffering from canine dementia. The sad news was shared on Instagram, with PewDiePie saying that he would never be able to love a dog that much again.

But it looks like PewDiePie and his wife Marzia have opened their heart to a new puppy.

PewDiePie shares life updates

PewDiePie posted a video to YouTube titled “Lot of big changes lately..” which included some information about their newest family member. The new puppy’s name is Momo, which means “peach” in Japanese. It’s a half pug, half chihuahua.

A lot of fans wondered if Momo was meant to replace Maya, but PewDiePie explained in the video that they had already gotten their new puppy before his beloved dog passed. In the video, fans could see Momo being introduced to all three dogs, including Maya.

It was most definitely a touching moment for his 111 million YouTube subscribers. Seeing Maya once more left many fans emotional. It was also great seeing PewDiePie and Marzia happy with their new puppy, who was sure to heal their heart.

While Maya’s passing is still a heavy moment, PewDiePie’s fans are glad to see that the iconic YouTuber is still enjoying his life in Japan with his wife and pups.

What is a Chug, the breed of PewDiePie’s new puppy?

A Chug is a dog that’s half Chihuahua and half Pug. These are two smaller breeds that are often combined to create a dog that’s loyal and affectionate. They are lively like a Chihuahua, known for chasing other pets around, but have the lap dog personality of a Pug.

This is a fairly new hybrid breed that may have a lot of health problems carried over from both existing breeds, so it’s important to only adopt a Chug from a trusted breeder. The Chug is not currently recognized by the American Kennel Club as an official breed, but it’s quite popular in the United States.
