"It's insane": xQc claims Pokimane is not getting enough flak for cookie drama

The controversy surrounding Imane “Pokimane” Anys’ Myna cookie comment has continued. But this time, it’s fellow streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel claiming there wasn’t enough controversy.

Pokimane was recently under fire after she claimed fans who didn’t want to buy her cookies were “broke.” The Midnight Mini Cookies came out to $7 for a small bag, which had some fans skeptical of her intentions, claiming she was taking advantage of followers. The “broke” comment set the internet on fire, with many claiming that she was insensitive and a “jerk.”

In response, Pokimane tweeted an apology, claiming it was a joke that was only aimed at the one troll on her stream.

xQc claims he faces more backlash than Pokimane

On November 22, xQc expressed some frustration with the cookie drama — but not because he felt bad for Pokimane. Instead, he claimed that she was not getting enough flak compared to him when he gets roasted for controversies.

“By ratio of people who were exposed to the news, she got less flak for flexing on somebody broke as a millionaire, right, in public than I did for flexing on another multi-millionaire with a f—ing watch in private,” xQc said, a reference to a small beef with Ethan “H3H3” Klein.

He added that it was “insane” that Pokimane was avoiding more pushback since her insult was to a fan and was made public.

xQc condemned for Israel Palestine response

xQc was recently under fire after he made some posts that felt insensitive towards the Middle Eastern conflict for some fans. The YouTube videos have been removed, but when some viewers called him out for his opinion on the conflict, xQc responded with a tweet of him sitting on top of money.

As more fans started to get riled up, xQc responded with similarly tasteless images of his watches and other luxurious purchases. Many questioned if xQc had a PR manager, and why he didn’t use them more often.

There’s no question that xQc’s behavior caused a backlash, but was it worse than the criticism Pokimane received? That’s hard to say since Pokimane’s drama seems to be dragging out for much longer.
