Fedmyster return

After being called out for his treatment of fellow streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys and sexual harassment allegations, Federico “Fedmyster” Gaytan all but disappeared from the internet. The former OfflineTV streamer left Twitch in 2020 after facing backlash for calling out Pokimane in an allegedly leaked Google doc.

Despite his initial disappearance, Fedmyster announced a return in the summer of 2021. This didn’t sit right with many people in the streaming community, especially after Fedmyster made a few jokes about the situation during a Twitch stream.

“I know a lot of people are going to ask me about a certain someone. I’m going to say my piece. It’s not my place to say if someone has changed because their actions and words will eventually speak for themselves. But I can’t be friends with someone who sexually assaulted people I care about and then handle it the way that he did,” Pokimane said at the time.

So what is Fedmyster up to now? Many are curious if Fedmyster is still streaming after facing so much backlash for his return last year.

Is Fedmyster still streaming on Twitch in 2022?

Fedmyster has been largely silent on social media. His most recent tweet was in February 2021 so it’s been difficult to know if he has been back on Twitch and what his streaming schedule is now like.

After his initial return in 2021, Fedmyster hadn’t appeared on Twitch very often. He even took another year-long break, most recently returning in July 2022. His came back with “update stream” in which he explained to his followers that he decided to randomly go live.

“I’ve had pre-stream anxiety for the past year times, like, 100,” Fedmyster said. “And today I just snapped. I just wanted to say ‘what’s up’ to you guys.”

Why did Fedmyster stop streaming again?

Fedmyster decided to use the Just Chatting stream to give an update on his life over the past year as he took a break from streaming. According to Fedmyster, his Twitch and YouTube accounts were hacked while he was downloading some illegal plug-ins. After that, Fedmyster has been “learning,” “exploring,” and “trying new projects.” This includes getting into the music scene.

“Every time I came back to streaming… Every time I streamed, I literally wanted to kill myself. This is kind of raw, kind of unfiltered. […] But it was really f— bad and I obviously had to stop it,” Fedmyster said.

According to Fedmyster, there are a few things in the work that he isn’t ready to share it with his community just yet. He says that he has felt happier recently, even saying that he’s now “genuinely happy” most likely due to a break from streaming, which had him “ready to jump.”

After a fan donated to him with a message about “goldigging women lying about him,” Fedmyster said he was not going to be talking about his past at all moving forward. Instead, he wanted to come back to Twitch to update fans that have been loyal and remained invested in his content.

“I don’t really know if I’ll stream again any time soon,” Fedmyster added, stating that the most recent broadcast was a “test.”

Fans of the controversial streamer will have to wait and see if Fedmyster decides to pop up on Twitch again. While his chat was full of support from his most loyal fans, Fedmyster admitted that he has still been getting a lot of hateful messages following the serious allegations that were made against him. Returning to Twitch will most likely amp up the number of such messages he receives since many people don’t want to see him return online after those serious accusations.
