Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp will be featuring as part of the opening of North American League of Legends’ biggest domestic competition, and here’s how you can watch Tyler1 at the LCS finals.

Ahead of the grand finals for the 2022 spring split in the LCS, it was announced that Tyler1 would be appearing at the finals in Houston, Texas. The famously reformed streamer will have appeared on Riot Games’ official LCS broadcast twice after this, solidifying his successful redemption story from persona non-grata to a staple of the game.

How to watch Tyler1 at the LCS finals

The LCS finals will air live on the official LCS Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as lolesports.com on April 23 and 24, 2022. The finals will take place at noon at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. Tyler1 appearing on the biggest domestic LoL broadcast in North America shows just how far the streamer has come since his days of being permanently banned from playing and streaming League of Legends.

Tyler1 will be a part of the event’s opening ceremony before the LCS finals begins. This is most likely to launch at 11 or 11:30 am PST on April 24, so tune in early to catch Tyler1. According to the announcement, Tyler will be serving as the Master of Ceremonies for the event, announcing the teams and hyping up local fans in attendance live.

Riot Games and Tyler1’s relationship has dramatically shifted in recent years, with Tyler1 appearing at Riot’s All-Star event and at an exhibition match held prior to an LCS final. This rapport has only improved since Tyler1 was allowed to return to League of Legends, with Riot Games sending the popular streamer custom medals commemorating his hitting Challenger in all five of the game’s roles. This synergistic approach has been a huge win for both the League of Legends developer and the Twitch superstar, both of whom get plenty from the partnership as they provide additional visibility and reach for each other.
