CSGo 10th birthday coin

It’s time to celebrate the 10th birthday of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. CSGO players looking to commemorate the occasion can now get themselves an in-game birthday coin.

CS10 is a bit awkward for CSGO fans. Valve has traditionally not given fans of the tactical shooter glamorous events or commemorated special occasions. The 10th birthday of CSGO wasn’t completely blown off by Valve, but it also didn’t have the long-awaited Source 2 update of the game that is known to exist in hidden files and was even hinted at by content creators. Instead players get stickers, new maps added to competitive matchmaking, and party hats.

As a way of commemorating the occasion, players also get access to the birthday coin. This will only be available for a short time, so players should make sure to pick it up while they can.

How to get CSGO 10th birthday coin

Players can get the CSGO birthday coin by earning XP and ranking up during the week of its 10th anniversary.

The method for getting the coin is straightforward. Players only need to earn one level in order to receive a guaranteed coin drop. Nothing needs to be purchased and players can earn the level with XP earned from any given game mode.

Players can do so in competitive, casual, or wingman. The good news is that there are plenty of interesting new options including official competitive matchmaking for the newly released Tuscan alongside Anubis and Breach.

When can I get the CSGO 10th birthday coin?

CSGO 10th birthday coins are available in-game from August 16 to 23. Any player who levels up during that week will receive the coin as a drop.

After August 23, the coin goes away and likely won’t come back. CSGO fans who avidly collect in-game items including coins ought to pounce on this as quickly as possible to make sure that they don’t miss out.
