Epic Games has revealed some interesting teasers for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 including some highly anticipated skins, headlined by Marvel Comics’ Spider-Gwen.
For the past few weeks, leakers have continued to spill information about the next season, including the possibility of Spider-Gwen joining the battle royale. Another rumor revolved around a skin for Meowscles that appeared possibly gothic in style.
Epic Games was quiet for a while but eventually confirmed some of these rumors earlier today. Epic Games uploaded “Placeholder Store Art” on September 14, with four telling pictures going live for various online stores. Each image hinted at new content coming in Season 4.
Spider-Gwen is likely coming to Fortnite next season, alongside three other prominent skins.
The images were of hands coming out of murky, dark water. While heavily stylized, players could instantly recognize the skins on each hand. According to iFireMonkey, Epic Games‘ featured image depicted Emo Meowscles, PlayStation received Spider-Gwen, Nintendo showed off Remixed Pardigm, and Xbox had a chrome hand.
While the first three were pretty straightforward, the chrome hand left some Fortnite players confused. The image, however, looks very similar to a concept art Epic Games sent in previous surveys. This disappointed some fans because they found that skin “ugly,” pointing out it was the least-voted for in its batch of proposed concepts.
This wasn’t confirmed by Epic Games, however. It’s still unclear what this fourth image is hinting at. Still, Season 4 seems like it will be full of highly anticipated updates, including Spider-Gwen and a new skin for Meowscles.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is coming very soon. It’s speculated to drop Sunday, September 18 at this time since Season 3 is ending September 17.
