Emir "Alfajer" Beder of Fnatic competes at VALORANT Masters Tokyo Grand Finals at Makuhari Messe on June 25, 2023 in Chiba, Japan.

Fnatic’s sentinel has proven once again that he’s one of the best Valorant players in the world.

At Valorant Champions, the largest and most anticipated event in the calendar, Fnatic player Emir “Alfajer” Ali Beder has consistently been the highest-rated player in the group stage of the tournament.

At the time of writing, Alfajer has boasted a 1.37 overall rating, according to VLR.gg. He has the highest kill-death ratio of any player, with 1.85.

Alfajer is the star of the show on Fnatic

He’s been integral to the success of European team Fnatic during its run at Champions. The team managed to take down ZETA Division and Bilibili Gaming to secure a spot in the playoffs with relative ease.

Alfajer was placed on Killjoy duty throughout the tournament so far, which has allowed him to put up consistent numbers on the scoreboard.

As the main sentinel for the team, he’s been tasked with anchoring and ensuring opponents fail to reach the spike sites. With his raw talent and skill, he has easily taken down enemies, even if they reach the site.

Alfajer has his team to back him up, also. Fnatic is home to four of the best players in the world, led by in-game leader Jake “Boaster” Howlett, who has also reached new heights for rating and fragging.

Teammate Leo Jannesson is the third highest-rated player of the tournament so far, with a 1.29 rating on the initiator role. Although his kill-per-round rating is 0.77, which is lower than Alfajer’s 1.01, the highest in the tournament.

Fnatic is set to continue its Champions run with a playoff match against Brazilian champions LOUD.

The match will begin tomorrow, with the winner securing a spot in the upper semifinals.

If Fnatic manages to win Champions, this will be the third international event in a row the team has won, the first run of its kind in Valorant history.
