The final stage of Valorant Champions is set to begin in a few days with the playoff bracket decided.

Eight teams from around the world have slugged through hard-fought matches to secure qualification to the playoff stage. Every matchup, barring one, will feature two different regions against each other.

The Valorant Champions playoff bracket in action

The first matchup of the playoff bracket will see European team Fnatic take on last year’s winner, LOUD.

Fnatic has looked dominant over the past few months with a tournament victory at the LOCK//IN event held in Brazil at the start of the year. Fnatic followed up this win with a first-place finish at VCT Masters Tokyo in June.

At the time of writing, Fnatic has only lost one match in 2023, which was against Team Liquid in the grand final of the EMEA Split earlier this year.

LOUD, on the other hand, has looked inconsistent but still remains prominent.

The second match will see Paper Rex take on FUT Esports, the former of which took down KRU Esports and fan-favorites EDward Gaming in Group A.

Paper Rex will look to continue its impressive form following the introduction of star duelist Ilya “something” Petrov.

Two teams from Asia, DRX, and BLG, will play each other in the only match of the playoff bracket to feature the same major region.

The only North American team remaining in the tournament, Evil Geniuses, will face off against EDward Gaming.

The matchup will see fan-favorite players Max “Demon1” Mazanov and Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang (Kang Kang) take on each other.

Valorant Champions is set to continue on Aug. 16 with LOUD facing up against Fnatic.
