We have the final two teams that are traveling to Atlanta and that means another round of Worlds Pick’Em. The second semi-final between DRX vs Gen.G promises to be a clash for the ages.

Three Korean teams and the defending World Champion get seeded into a bracket… So what happens next is peak League of Legends.

The series between Gen.G and Damwon Kia will go down in history as one of the best on any international stage. DK came dangerously close to taking the win from Gen.G but the LCK champion came in clutch when it mattered the most. Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk proved why he is considered the best ADC in the world right now. His dominant performance helped Gen.G make it to the finish line and will continue to be the key to the team’s success in what’s left of the tournament.

Not even the most hardcore DRX fans believed the team could have a decent performance at Worlds. But DRX keeps proving everyone wrong. The team dominated Play-Ins, then repeated the feat in the Group Stage — and Quarterfinals were no exception. DRX completed the reverse sweep against EDG and lives to fight another day, this time against an all-familiar opponent.

DRX vs GEN.G Worlds Pick’em Prediction

Once again, Gen.G’s side of the map is put into question. Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon needed extra help from Han “Peanut” Wang-ho to survive the laning phase against DK. It was a matter of strength in numbers because Peanut’s overall performance left a lot to be desired.

After the impressive performance by first-timer at Worlds Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo, all eyes will be on the mid lane where he’ll meet Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon. The meta doesn’t favor the mid lane at this moment but the rules of men don’t apply to the young prodigies from the LCK. They make a difference in the team fights and have the potential to carry their teams to victories.

Of course, Gen.G has an ace in the bottom lane. Ruler is having a great tournament but so is Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu. Worlds 2022 will make it or break it for Deft, so much is depending on this title. Deft is two best-of-five series to define if he can retire having achieved all of his dreams or if he is to live the rest of his life full of regret. Semifinals are closer than expected, Gen.G should take it but DRX will make them work for it.

The winner between Gen.G and EDG will face the winner from T1 vs JDG at Worlds 2022 grand final.
