It is time, once again, for Pick’Ems at Worlds 2022. The first half of the bracket is completed and now we know who will be competing in the first semifinals.

JDG and T1 will be meeting again in the next stage of the tournament, for a match that could decide the champion of Worlds 2022.

JDG’s performance against Rogue was exactly what the audience expected from the LPL champion. The fearsome combination of top laner Bai “369” Jia-Hao and jungler Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok took over the series early and gave Rogue no room to breathe. The only time when Rogue seemed to have the upper hand was in game three when things got scrappier. JDG is known for playing a slower pace and it took them a couple of deaths to adjust to the game state. JDG closed the series with a clean 3-0 score.

T1 had a dominant performance against RNG in a series that finished after three games. T1 showed a great deal of discipline and patience to get back in control when playing from behind. T1 had a taste of what the next match is going to be when RNG decided to play through the top lane. RNG invested most of its resources in the top lane, leaving the rest of the map unattended. T1 absorbed the pressure and it was time for the bottom lane to shine.  Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong and Ryu “Keria” Min-seok are making a compelling argument for themselves as the best bot lane duo at Worlds 2022.

JDG vs T1 Pickem Worlds 2022

All eyes are on the top lane for this match. However, the real determining factor is the bottom lane. It’s not farfetched to think that Choi “Zeus” Woo-je and Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun can go head-to-head with Kanavi and 369. It will be a duel for the ages, that’s for sure.

The true challenge is for Wang “Hope” Jie and Lou “Missing” Yun-Feng when they face Gumayusi and Keria. The T1 bot lane is growing confident, and aggressive and proved that they don’t need a jungler to save them. Gumayusi and Keria are more than capable of taking over. Hope and Missing are yet to be put to the test by top tier due like Gumayusi and Keria.

JDG continues to be the favorite to win but T1 is looking like they could take this one. Looking for the favorite of the second semifinal series? Check out WIN.gg’s DRX vs Gen.G Semifinals prediction.
