Dr Disrespect backlash

YouTube’s biggest streamer Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm is known for having strong opinions on the games he plays — and his opinions are often respected. This time around, the Doc has revealed that he believes Apex Legends is the hardest shooter.

Shooters are games that have first-person shooting, like Call of Duty and Halo. But the genre has become a lot more dynamic and diverse in recent years, including battle royales like PUBG, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Fortnite. Apex Legends has become one of the most popular battle royales thanks to its vibrant legends, excellent gunplay, and creative lore, so it’s no surprise that Dr Disrespect has picked it up.

When the game first came out, Dr Disrespect wasn’t overly enthusiastic. He even called it boring. But he recently started grinding the game and is currently at Masters level. This is probably due to the Two-Time being disappointed with Warzone, a game he has repetitively threatened to stop playing.

Dr Disrespect offers opinion on Apex Legends

Dr Disrespect told his fans that he agreed Apex Legends is a “really good” game. This was surprising to hear for many viewers since he is often quite harsh with his criticism of games, including Apex Legends in the past. He even agreed to grind the game with Zach “ZLaner” Laner in hopes of getting to Predator.

But Dr Disrespect didn’t think it would be an easy task. ZLaner said that the duo could “easy” get to the Predator rank but Dr Disrespect wasn’t so sure.

“I have to say, that’s the hardest shooter game that the Two-Time back-to-back 93/94 Blockbuster video game champion has ever played. Very skilled players play that game, let’s just say that,” Dr Disrespect said.

Is Apex Legends a really hard game to play?

In a recent blog post from EA about Apex Legends’ matchmaking, developers admitted that Apex Legends is getting tougher and tougher to climb. Players are getting more and more competitive over time, meaning it can be tougher to climb up the ranks. As the skill ceiling increases, it can become tougher for new players to jump in. This is something that developers are hoping to address going forward.

How often does Dr Disrespect play Apex Legends?

Since Dr Disrespect is no longer on Twitch, it’s a bit more difficult to track the amount of time the mullet-sporting streamer spends on each game. But most of Dr Disrespect’s recent videos have been focused on Call of Duty: Warzone.

Despite always roasting the game, the Doc is clearly quite involved in the Warzone scene. Most of his friends also play the game, which explains why Dr Disrespect is always dropping in.

But Dr Disrespect has clearly played Apex Legends enough to make it to Masters level. Fans should definitely expect to see more Apex Legends streams in the near future.
