YouTube streamer Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm is not happy with Activision after getting a week-long ban from Warzone 2.

Like the previous Call of Duty titles, there’s a lot of criticism about the new Warzone. But most players are happy with the proximity chat, which allows players to hear opponents’ conversations if they are close enough to them. It also allows them to talk with each other.

The Two-Time is one of the players who has expressed satisfaction with this feature. But the popular personality recently got in trouble for the way he was using proximity chat.

Why was Dr Disrespect banned from Warzone 2?

On November 21, Dr Disrespect tweeted a short clip of a proximity chat interaction. As he approached an enemy player, he heard them coughing into the mic. Doc started copying the player’s hacking, which caused the opponent to tell him to stop making fun of people. In response, Dr Disrespect started coughing even more.

Dr Disrespect has also used proximity chat to take out stream snipers. On November 23, Doc approached an enemy in the Gulag and instantly heard his own stream blaring over the mic. He ended up eliminating the sniper, to the glee of his viewers, who all started calling the enemy a “loser.”

“I’m feeling good!” Dr Disrespect said at the time.

Unfortunately, he was eliminated himself soon after.

During a live stream on November 24, Dr Disrespect revealed that he’s now been banned for seven days. This is likely because he’d gone too far with the proximity chat shenanigans.

“I should probably chill on this account champs. I mean, with the proximity chat. This is not even my account. They banned my other one for seven days for proximity chat use. Believe it or not, champs. So we’re playing on an alternate… Spam? Yeah, it was probably for spam. But was it really?”

Dr Disrespect didn’t seem to know the exact reason why he was banned, noting that other players have done much “f—ing worse” with the proximity chat spam. He didn’t seemed phased by the situation, saying he didn’t really care.

For Dr Disrespect, it wasn’t a big deal that his account was banned. He kept telling his viewers that it would only be a few more days. But his real issue was with Blizzard.

The Two-Time speculated that he might have been banned to “make an example” out of him.

“These people are just so out of touch. You’re gonna ban me right before a $100,000 tournament? It’s insane how out of touch these people are,” Dr Disrespect added.

Taking shots at Blizzard is nothing new for Dr Disrespect, who has ranted about Call of Duty, Overwatch, and other games for years.
