Community accuses top CS2 leaderboard holders of cheating
Despite an upgraded anti-cheat, hackers are still polluting Counter-Strike 2, leaving players frustrated.
Valve has wholly changed Counter-Strike: Global Offensive but player complaints are still the same as before. Many players are upset that the top ranks of the CS2 leaderboard are held by renowned cheaters with impeccable win rates.
CS2 leaderboards are a great way to shine a light on deserving players looking to go pro. Currently, Kurosaki and Bobosaur are holding the top ranks, but if cheaters continue to go unnoticed, it won’t be long before the duo gets dethroned as well.
CS2 Premier mode is infested with cheaters
Premier mode was supposed to be a clean, high-skill mode that pushed players to do better than Global Elite. Unfortunately, the cheaters are making it difficult for others to play a fair game.
Earlier, ThourCS posted proof that rank holders #4 and #14 are being carried by a renowned cheater in Premier mode. As a result, Rustic, the current #8 player, has a 100% win rate in Premier. Coincidentally, Rustic queues with a fellow accused player, Venom, who holds #4 as of writing with a 33,000+ CS Rating.
While ThourCS accused them of being carried by a hacker, the Indian community claims that Venom himself is a known cheater. Many claimed to have played with him in CSGO, and his profile comments also testify to the claims.
However, no proof of cheating is available online besides witnesses who queued against him at some point.
In any case, some funny business is undoubtedly going on, and the community is upset at Valve for letting them off the hook easily. It remains to be seen if the duo gets banned and removed from the leaderboard.
But so far, they’re innocent until proven guilty. Still, Valve may roll out a punishment for queuing with a cheater.
