Another video game adaptation is coming, this time bringing Borderlands to the big screen this summer. A new trailer has dropped, giving the first official look at the chaos.
Borderlands has long been a popular video game series thanks to its unique art style, hilarious dialogue, and fast-paced, gun-crazy gameplay. Now, the action is being transformed into a movie directed by Eli Roth.
Borderlands (2024) Official Trailer – Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black
A quick look at the first Borderlands trailer has given fans hope. Unlike some other video game adaptations in the past, the movie’s take on the video game series looks quite accurate to the style, humor, and characters they’ve grown to love.
The Borderlands movie is coming this summer. The official date is August 9, 2024.
Borderlands is directed by Eli Roth, the same mind behind horror movies like Hostel and Cabin Fever. With a background in chaotic, unapologetic films, fans are anticipating that the film won’t hold back on the violence and crazy action.
The movie appears to be based on the first Borderlands game and its playable characters. Lillith is sent to Pandora to find someone’s missing daughter, taking on a ton of familiar baddies along the way. You’ll see the same characters, vehicles, enemies, and landscapes that were all over the first game.
