Chess star Andrea Botez has been confirmed for Creator Clash 2.
Andrea Botez is known for her insane chess skills, but she has also proven herself in the ring, most recently during a controversial match at Ludwig’s Mogul Moves Chessboxing Championship in 2022. The viewership-breaking event put Botez on the map when it comes to streamed boxing matches, so it’s no surprise that she recently revealed that she’s part of Creator Clash 2.
Creator Clash 2 is a series created by YouTuber iDubbbz, the mastermind behind Content Cop. It’s taking place on April 15, bringing top creators from all over the world to Tampa, Florida to duke it out in a boxing ring. One of the most recent matchups is between Botez and YouTuber Michelle Khare.
This match will be straight-up physical with no chess involved. So it will be interesting to see how Botez does this time around.
During the Chessboxing Championship, Botez faced Woman Grand Master Dina Belenkaya in one of the most controversial moments of the event.
Botez was out of her comfort zone facing the WGM and could be seen stalling during her turns. But when it came to fighting, Botez had the upper hand. She ended up downing Belenkaya three times in one round. But viewers became confused when the referee missed the TKO call and had them continue playing chess. Belenkaya was able to defeat Botez in the chess game and was declared the winner.
Popular streamers like Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker voiced frustration with the outcome, causing Ludwig Ahgren to call them co-winners.
Botez has openly expressed interest in the Creator Clash leading up to this point. It’s no surprise to see her back in the ring. She is now in one of 12 confirmed fights.
