Amouranth loses 300,000 followers and no one knows why
Amouranth loses 300,000 followers and no one knows why
After an unfortunate accidental flashing, IRL streamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa was banned for a total of three days. When she returned, hers had become the
fastest growing
Twitch channel on the streaming platform.
An astonishing 50% increase in followers saw Amouranth gain over 410,000 followers in a week.
“It’s literally impossible to predict what will blow up on the internet. This banning drama has made me more relevant than everything I’ve ever done combined,” Amouranth said at the time.
But from October 29 to October 30, it appeared as though Amouranth had lost almost 300,000 followers seemingly overnight. According to Social Blade, she had also lost 2,000 followers between October 24 and October 25.
That’s left her with a little over 100,000 of the nearly 400,000 new followers she had gained at the time of the NSFW drama.
Why did Amouranth lose 300,000 followers?
Twitch has not offered an explanation as to the loss of 290,247 followers, but many are assuming they were bots or something similar.
At the time of Amouranth’s rapid channel growth, not many found the additional 400,000 in number to be too shocking or suspicious. Known for her sexy cosplays and suggestive IRL streams, Amouranth gaining followers after
exposing her genitals
seemed par for the course.
But even after her follower number continued to skyrocket, her viewership remained the same. This makes it seem more likely that many of the followers were bots. But were these bots that Amouranth had acquired on her own accord to take away from the embarassing mishap? Or was she targeted by someone else?
Despite the dramatic decline in followers, Amouranth has yet to comment on the drastic numbers. Instead, Amouranth has been using her social media platforms to post seductive photos, as per usual.
