After a highly exclusive closed alpha, Marvel Rivals is finally out in the wild for a larger player base. Here’s all you need to do to get access to the Marvel Rivals closed beta playtest.

Marvel Rivals will feature some of the best-known names from the comics, like Venom and Scarlet Witch, in a map-like setting with destructible buildings. Some of the maps to be featured in the game include Yggsgard, Yggdrasill Path, Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya, and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands.

As announced by the Marvel Rivals team, players now have a chance to join its closed beta.

When does Marvel Rivals playtest start?

Marvel Rivals closed beta will go live on July 23 for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. To access it, players have to visit the Marvel Rivals Steam store page and apply to join the Marvel Rivals Playtest. Confirmations are being sent out by email daily to selected players and are in limited supply.

If you missed the deadline to apply, which was July 23, you can still get your hands on the code. NetEase will enable Marvel Rivals Twitch code drops on select streams. These will be released between 1 am BST on 25th July and 1 am BST on 28th July 2024. To access these drops, you’ll need to have Twitch drops activated and watch at least an hour of a stream under the Marvel Rivals category.

If you reached level 10 during the previous Marvel Rivals alpha test, you’ll also automatically get into the beta test.

Finally, players can access the Marvel Rivals beta through friends and family. If someone you know has reached level 6 through the game’s event page, they will be given access codes every day. Using these access codes, they can bring in other players.

There had previously been a way to get an access code for consoles by filling a questionnaire but this has since been discontinued.
