Amouranth, Indiefoxx banned on Twitch after ASMR licking streams

Two of Twitch’s most infamous streamers have been banned at the same time.

Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa and Jenelle “Indiefoxx” Dagres have both been dealt bans by Twitch. The bans came in quick succession on Friday night, with Amouranth getting banned just three minutes after Indiefoxx. Though this led to speculation that a larger crackdown on streamers who produce sexually suggestive content was occurring, no other notable bans followed in the immediate aftermath of these two.

As per usual, there was no word on the length of the ban for either woman and Twitch has not commented on the matter publicly. Both have retained partner status on Twitch, meaning that this is likely not permanent.

Why were Amouranth and Indiefoxx banned on Twitch again?

Neither Twitch, Amouranth, nor Indiefoxx gave any reason for the two streamers being banned on Twitch again, but both had done “ASMR ear-licking” streams earlier in the day with a number of other notable streamers doing something similar. The content was the talk of Twitch, with a number of prominent influencers reacting to and discussing the ASMR streams, as well as the possibility of a “new meta” of licking microphones while wearing tight leggings. Twitch may have banned these two larger names in order to discourage others from emulating them.

Regardless, Amouranth and Indiefoxx seem unfazed by their bans. Both brushed it off on Twitter.

Amouranth and Indiefoxx are no strangers to being suspended from streaming. This is Amouranth’s fourth ban and Indiefoxx’s fifth ban, with both preferring to deliver their preferred style of content while enduring the occasional ban instead of changing things up to avoid Twitch’s indiscriminate wrath.

Indiefoxx received three bans within one month’s time. The most famous ban came amid the early outrage surrounding the “hot tub meta,” but she has pushed back against at least one ban which came when she was playing a guitar on stream.

Amouranth has one of the more notorious Twitch bans, which came when she suffered a wardrobe malfunction on-air and exposed herself to the camera. That said, the other two suspensions occurred for less definitive reasons, with one supposedly being related to her broadcasting other people in a gym without their consent. Another ban is speculated to have come from accidentally streaming a NSFW image.

How long are Amouranth and Indiefoxx banned for?

Though both Amouranth and Indiefoxx have been banned a few times on Twitch and this would theoretically lead to a permanent ban on the streaming platform, odds are that this latest ban will last for only a week at most. It may be a three-day ban, or even a 24-hour ban.
