All we know about Riot Forge’s upcoming League of Legends titles in 2023
Fans of the League of Legends should buckle up for an exciting year as Riot Forge has lifted the curtain on three unreleased LoL-themed titles for 2023.
While Riot Games is busy delivering crucial updates to existing, established titles, Forge focuses on doubling down on the lore by creating character-specific titles with the help of developers around the world. The successful game Hextech Mayhem released in 2021, is a great example. It’s already an excellent way for players to take a breather from complex League of Legends and dive into the lore of Runeterra.
What are the three games by Riot Forge for 2023?
Riot Forge has announced not one but three titles in a new video. The Mageseeker, Convergence, and Song of Nunu will all be playable in 2023.
The Mageseeker
The creators of Moonlighter, Digital Sun, are now working on a game starring Demacian Champion Sylas. It’s a 2D hi-bit pixel action RPG where you’ll “bring Demacia to its reckoning.” The story will likely revolve around Sylas and his fight against the notorious Mageseekers, who are tasked with containing magic within the country.
Not much has been revealed about the game yet, but the trailer looks promising.
“No more kings, no more queens, no more Mageseekers. It all ends now,” Sylas says in the trailer.
Song of Nunu
Developed by Tequila Works, Song of Nunu follows the story of Nunu and Willump. While Nunu finds his lost mother, players can explore Freljord’s most carefully guarded secrets.
Song of Nunu is set in an ice-cold tundra, making it a perfect game for hot summer days. The developer has released plenty of in-game material and shots, and they look super cozy and chill, the opposite of League of Legends. While enjoying the calming scenery, Nunu will fight against the odds to pin down his mother’s location with the help of the icy giant Willump. During the course of the game, players will get to explore Freljord, a dangerous region in League of Legends.
Convergence
Convergence stars Ekko, a character that you may recognize from Arcane. It’s a single-player game that will allow players to play as Ekko, the boy who shattered time, as the main character.
From the trailer, Convergence appears to be an action game with cartoonish visuals. Double Stallion is the developer behind the action game that will double down on Ekko’s immersive lore.
