Breaking Sova’s dart usually involves revealing your position, but a less-known technique can keep you out of the crossfire.

Valorant is almost three years old with more than 20 characters. But some agents are still unexplored. However, their complex kits have numerous easter eggs that will keep getting unveiled with time. Each Valorant agent is unique, with simple-to-use utility hiding tricks and techniques that only a few know.

Content creator Lothar claims that even professional Valorant players don’t know this new anti-Sova technique. It helps players break Sova’s dart without exposing their position.

How to break Sova’s dart in Valorant

Sova Valorant

Sova’s Recon Bolt is mighty for its minuscule size. Breaking it is a menace as players want to aim right at the tiny hitbox instantly to avoid getting exposed. The intel device immediately detects an enemy, so if you miss your shot, you’re toast. But, it turns out, we have all been countering the Russian initiator’s dart wrong.

It’s unnecessary to jump in front of the dart and then shoot right at its hitbox. Lothar has demonstrated that Sova’s Recon Bolt is fragile enough to be broken through Valorant’s paper walls.

It can even be destroyed through thick metal walls and not just flimsy wooden objects. Banging at the dart through any surface will quickly break it without revealing your position. First, however, you must pin down its exact location and wall bang it accordingly. So the next time you see Sova shoot an arrow, follow the trail, pin down the final spot, and then get to a safe position to shoot it through the wall.

This is a vital technique and totally fair to use. Using this, players can counter Sova’s unforgiving darts in high ELO lobbies, where players often pick the initiator for his OP toolkit.

How to use Sova’s ult in Valorant

Sova’s ultimate, Hunter’s Fury, lasts for six seconds. He can fire three shots that pierce through walls and other obstacles during that time. Each dart deals 80 damage, which means he only needs two darts to kill one enemy. Hunter’s Fury can potentially kill multiple enemies within a single shot. By taking out Sova’s dart through a wall, players can keep themselves safe from this game-changing ultimate.
