Avid gambler Felix “xQc” Lengyel just lost over $800,000 and is now accusing Dillon Danis of throwing the fight.
Logan Paul has become one of the most popular attractions in combat sports, and his boxing match with Danis was one of the most anticipated fights of the year so far. The entertaining match resulted in Danis being disqualified when he attempted a double-leg takedown followed by a guillotine choke.
Paul was the favored fighter anyway, but the way the match ended ultimately led xQc to lose $820,000.
xQc was one of the bigger content creators who bet on the highly anticipated match. But the outcome cost him almost $1 million.
xQc accused Danis of “trolling” during the fight, ultimately leading to him losing $820,000. This means that xQc most likely bet on Paul winning by decision but we currently don’t know the exact result he wagered on. But if that were the case, xQc would have got a $2.5 million profit if the match went as predicted.
xQc recently claimed that he was not going to gamble anymore after winning $5 million while streaming online casino games. This doesn’t seem to be the case, however, since xQc bet money on the Logan Paul fight.
It’s possible this could be yet another wake-up call for xQc since he was just seconds away from getting millions since Paul was about to win the fight by decision. Before Danis pulled an illegal move, of course.
