Fortnite players have been anxiously awaiting the upcoming Trios Tournament on July 13 but now fans have even more reason to look forward to the event.

Team SoloMid’s Ali “Myth” Kabbani will be entering the tournament along with two big-name streamers who may come as a shock to the Fortnite community. His squad will include former Overwatch pro player Felix “xQc” Lengyel and IRL streamer Dimitri “Greekgodx” Antonatos.

xQc may have competed at the highest level in Overwatch, taking part in the Overwatch League before being dropped for behaviorial reasons, but those skills haven’t translated to Fortnite as he has struggled with the game’s building mechanics. He has still dabbled in the game though, famously teaming up with Turner “Tfue” Tenney for some entertaining streams that culminated in xQc smashing his keyboard. .

On Greekgodx’s side, the popular Twitch personality hasn’t uploaded any Fortnite content in over a year. He has been playing Apex Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on occasion but it’s unclear what skills he may have in Fortnite.

After Myth announced the unexpected trio on Twitter, Greekgodx jokingly begged Myth to drop xQc so they’d “have a chance of winning.”

Though the team is star-studded, the news carries some extra weight in regards to Myth’s future in competitive Fortnite. The TSM player failed to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup and is bringing a team that is more sizzle than competitive steak. This could hint that Myth is changing his focus to content creation instead of actually winning tournaments.

So far, Epic Games has yet to announce a prize pool for the Trio Tournament taking place next month. Still, the three-man-squad concept has excited various pros, who have started forming their teams.

Other announced teams include World Cup competitors Benjy “Benjyfish” Fish, Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson, and Martin “MrSavageM” Andersen, and Tfue, Dennis “Cloak” Lepore, and Team Liquid’s Thomas “72hrs” Mulligan.

Despite Myth’s Fortnite skills, it’s unclear how his current team will stack up against these big names.
