Mirage B window smoke

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev has shared a perfectly slick Mirage’s market window smoke to fool enemies.

Mirage ranks as one of the most balanced CSGO maps. The A site is easier to attack, as B rushes can easily be stopped by some grenades or one skilled AWPer. The layout doesn’t necessarily favor either side, which is why it’s one of the most fun maps to compete on for many players. Two teams with ace aimers have an equal chance of winning, so the team with the better strategy often finds the win.

Utility is at the center of any successful strategy, whether retaking a site or breaking it open. In CSGO, smokes aren’t just protection screens but make for a great bait to trick enemies. Star player s1mple has demonstrated a new quick Mirage B window smoke that’d empty out A site in a beat.

How to do Mirage B market window smoke

This smoke for Mirage’s B window begins from T-spawn, making it the fastest lineup for the window so far. Here’s how to do it.

Move yourself to the corner of spawn near apartment stairs, and place your crosshair at the top of the building. Run forward and release the smoke as soon as your crosshair hits the edge of the black mark, as shown in the video. The grenade will take five seconds to drop on the window and deploy.

This smoke works because it’s quick and completely safe, allowing a smooth fake rotation towards A or to set up a push B. Any other lineup may slow down the team. In low to medium ranks, enemies shouldn’t be able to dissect this strategy. Mix it up between rounds in order to prevent a pattern that CTs might recognize. But, it works best when used in pistol rounds when utility is limited to smoke off all areas on A. Buy one smoke instead to fluster the CTs.

Is Mirage a T-sided map?

Mirage is the most balanced CSGO map, with a 50% win rate for both sides. The map has a middle area that is just as hard to attack as it is to defend. Ts can easily break into the site with the correct utility, providing ample choke points for CTs to use.
