The poisonous controller Viper has some of the deadliest smokes in Valorant. These Viper one-way lineups on Ascent prove that.
Viper was one of the least-picked agents in the first six months after the game’s release. However, a rework boosted her pick rate dramatically, making her a must-have on any team. Her smokes are the key reasons players prefer her over other controllers, as they’re comparatively large, deal damage, and are reusable.
On Ascent, the agent can be a massive asset for defenders as she can singlehandedly lock down an entire site. On a map as large as Ascent, Viper becomes a force to be reckoned with. While her smokes are helpful when simply placed on entrances, they become deadlier in a one-way angle on B site.
Here are crucial one-way Viper lineups on Ascent B site that every player should learn.
This first lineup blocks the main entrance to the B bombsite. You’re going for a passive play and want to lure the enemy into your crosshair. For this lineup:
This smoke will land on the little ledge on the entrance pillar, creating an opening to favor your vision. Enemies won’t be able to see the players in the defender’s area, stairs, and controller room, whereas all defenders can easily shoot the lower body of enemies.
The second smoke works well when you are trying to catch the enemy by surprise and are in a position to make risky plays. This one-way lands deep inside the B entrance. Here’s how to do it:
Deploy the smoke when you hear enemies rushing in. The attackers will likely stop in their tracks and, if they try to pick duel, you’ll have a massive advantage over them. They might deal damage from the smoke, and their lower body would be visible for you to shoot.
These two Viper lineups on Ascent will make defending the B site a cakewalk. Swap the two lineups round after round to surprise the enemy and rattle their strategies to dodge your smokes.
