DragonX made the single greatest miracle run in League of Legends history to win Worlds, and here are the players’ picks for the Worlds 2022 DRX Skins.
Riot Games enshrines the winners of each World Championship by giving each player a skin for a champion of their choice. DragonX’s roster announced which champions they’d like to pick for their custom cosmetics, so here are what fans can expect as the Worlds 2022 DRX Skins.
During the post-finals press conference, the DragonX roster was asked which champions it’d prefer for championship skins. For players picking their Worlds skin, they must have played in at least two matches that mattered for the team’s progression during any stage of Worlds. The player must also have picked the champion at least once during the course of the tournament. They don’t need to have won with the champion, merely chosen it.
According to DragonX’s responses, each player has already considered exactly who they’d like for the Worlds 2022 DRX skin line. Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon wants Aatrox, Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon wants Kindred, Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo wants Akali, Kim “Deft” Hyuk-Kyu wants Caitlyn, and Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee wants Ashe as his skin. Substitute jungler Lee “Juhan” Ju-han played enough games to qualify and can choose between Maokai and Lee Sin, with him indicating online that he’d lean towards picking Maokai.
These picks will be DragonX’s first choices, with possible vetos from Riot considering the number of skins for the chosen champions. BeryL’s has specifically said that he’d like his Ashe skin to be similar to his favorite Honkai Impact character Elysia. It’s unclear how willing Riot Games will be to take inspiration for a major skin from a competitor’s video game, but BeryL seems pretty set on getting some kind of reference to his love for gacha.
